2019 Annual Meeting

2019 Annual Meeting
9 am, Saturday, May, 25 (Memorial Day Weekend), 2019
Newbold Town Hall, 4590 Hwy 47N

Once again, we'll be serving coffee and donuts
In addition to FVLA annual issues (committee updates, election of board members, news and concerns of the lakes), we will have a DNR speaker discussing the lower clarity readings on our lakes—what's going on???

We will also set the date for our annual Pontoon Party
You must be present and be a lake association member to vote on any issues. Single membership (one vote) is $25. Family membership (2 votes) is $50. You can pay your dues at the door.

Present: Elizabeth Alderton, Christy Aggens, Mike Barber, Dave Boyd, Linda Boyd, Gregg Curry, Todd Dessain, Shawn Frick, Diane Jones, Lou Wilhelm

Absent: John Ahlstrom

President Mike Barber brought the meeting to order at 8 am.

Secretary's report: Gregg Curry moved to accept the report, Elizabeth Alderton seconded and the motion passed

Treasurer's report: Dave Boyd reported that the treasury has $15,753.79 at present. Last year the total was $14,170.62. Expenses this year were $241.83 and deposits were $1,825. Discussion of possible use for this money ensued, and all agreed that it was best to keep it in reserve in order to react to unforeseen expenses such as dealing with invasive species. Diane Jones moved and Shawn Frich seconded a motion to accept the treasurer's report.

Committee Reports

Water Testing Report—Dave Boyd will give the results of the past year's testing at the annual meeting to follow

Loon Report—Linda Boyd will give the report on the loons at the annual meeting

History Report—Mike Barber will give a report at the annual meeting

Old Business

Mike Barber reported that he bought a new camera and installed it at the boat landing last July. It ran from July till December recording 3200 photos. Activity was seen at the landing from 4 am. To 1 am. And included boat launches/take outs, recreational use, and wildlife. By December, the batteries were still good.

Bladder wort—nothing new

Pontoon Boat Party Date—discussion centered on June 29 or July 6 as dates to be presented to the annual meeting.

Meeting was suspended to hold the annual membership meeting.

Following the membership meeting the board met and congratulated the election of new member Shamaine Rustad and reelection of Mike Barber and Diane Jones.

Current officers will remain in their positions and are as follows:

President—Mike Barber

Vice President—Elizabeth Alderton

Secretary—Linda Boyd

Treasurer—Dave Boyd

Lou Wilhelm motioned to adjourn the meeting, Shawn Frick seconded and the motion passed.
